today wasnt a good day

i slept only five hours yesterday

thought i could get more sleep by going to bed at 11.30pm

well, guess what

i tossed and turned till it was 1am

so i woke up feeling sucky and my mom nagged at me for not ironing my clothes

ROAR

so i went to work and i was NOT in a good mood

didnt even feel like talking

so the first child came in and i had to make milk for her breakfast

guess what?

I FREAKING SPLIT MILK ON MYSELF

and i just started to stir so it was not fully dissolved

there were bits and lumps of milk powder on me

did i mention?

I HATE MILK!

so i stink of milk and was washing off while my poor child waited for me as there were no other teachers there so early in the morning

oh then a great thing happened

another child came in

i was wearing a light grey pants so it was kinda transparent when i washed the milk off

ya, the dad came in and the child was quite sticky to the dad today so i had to carry him in

and i cant carry him on my left side cause it was wet and that's my stronger arm

then O came in and she was throwing tandrum

she has the WORST temper among the kids

so her mom was so mad she threatened to spank her (her mom HAS NEVER spanked her)

my lesson objectives were also not met today

stupid lesson

and i ended my day at the centre by scalding hot water on my hand

that was during tea time, while making milk again

the milk making is just not right for me today

but the best thing was that one of my dearest kids told me, "TEACHER SAM, XIAO XIN HOR. XIAO XIN."

SHE WAS SO SWEET!

that made my day

in response to my dearest jasmine's blog, children lie!

they all do

whoever believed that children do not lie obviously do not take care of children

just that they do not know that lying is lying and its wrong

so we cant really blame them

anyway, its the parents that are the real idiots

they think that teacher have 4 pairs of eyes, 8 pairs of hands, run at the speed of 100km/h and that their heads can turn 360degrees

yes, thats the expectations of parents

well, most of them at least (because i have some understanding parents at my school, lucky me)

they do not understand that sometimes, you need to let children cry

DO NOT give in to them all the time (thats what singaporean parents do!)

you'll just freaking spoil them

you should see the difference between the kids in school and at home

they know that their parents allow them to do EVERYTHING, thus they can do ANYTHING and get away with it

yes, they're that smart

parents are the ones that think they know everything

well, try doing our job

you probably wont get pass the lunch hour

just controlling them will kill you

imgaine that us teachers still have to do observations, make sure they dont kill each other or themselves, prepare for the next lesson etc...

i seldom go to the hawker centre near my house to buy dinner

normally, my dad would be the one buying

but today, he was out

so i didnt have a choice

anyway, its just buying dinner

how long will it take?

or so i thought

so i wore some old terry fox tee and flowery ah ma-ish shorts

which i wear at home

guess what?

there was sucha long queue

and it took 20mins for my food to come

what was worse, i saw one of my kids' parents!

i mean her whole family was there!

i tried to get out of their sight and hopefully they didnt see me

omgawd

i could have died of shame

there's more, i also saw my secondary school teacher

gosh

and i thought that was all

while rushing to get out of the hawker centre, i ALMOST bang into the parent!

i was looking at the floor, avoiding people and the next thing i know

i see the parent walking straight into me

luckily, i managed to 'siam' her

i know there's nothing to be embarrassed about but oh wells

im only a gambler when its the chinese new year season ok

anyways, we went visiting today

im tired from all the walking

first stop was sam ann's house

her grandma was so cute la

she kept asking us to stay and eat and eat and eat!

then was valerie's house

omygod

you should try the mee siam

its absolutelydelicious!

i dont eat mee siam,

but after trying her dad's mee siam,

i couldnt stop!

its that good.
